Foreword

I first found out I was adopted when I was 10 yrs old. I learned that
my birth mother had died after being run over by a truck in Central
Street, Sydney in 1957.
In 1996 I started to research my family & also started looking for my
siblings. In 1997 I made contact with my 4 brothers & 1 remaining
sister, my younger sister having died in a car accident in 1972.
During the time I was searching for family members, I found there were
no publications that covered all the Government & private Adoption
Laws within Australia that could be used as a reference guide. So I
decided to research & write my own.

In October of 2004 I self published
A Comprehensive Australia – New Zealand Adoption
Search Guide.

I revised the edition in January 2007 when a Private Detective Agency
contacted me & requested that they be included in a later edition.
As addresses, phone & fax numbers, email /web addresses are constantly
being changed, I felt it was time to do a complete update, & include
information on overseas adoptions as well as the United Kingdom.

Copies of the search guide are $45 + P&H
